It tells you how to have your JewelGST login, and your shop's records, deleted. Anyone can read it without signing in.
Write to the email address on the contact section of this site from the email address registered against your company, or send the request from the mobile number on the account. Say the company name and the login id you want removed. We ask this so that nobody but you can close your shop's account.
You can also ask from inside the app: Settings, then Delete account, which opens this page.
Your login and the details attached to it - your name, email address and mobile number. If you ask for the whole company to be closed, the shop's own records go with it: parties, items, stock, invoices, purchases, vouchers and ledgers, and the database they are kept in.
Indian tax law requires records of a registered business to be retained for 72 months from the due date of the annual return for that year. Where that applies we keep only what the law requires and nothing else, and we do not use it for anything but answering a lawful request. Records of what you paid us are kept for our own accounts for the same reason.
Deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days, after which those backups roll off and it is gone.
We act within 30 days of confirming the request is genuine, and write to you when it is done.
Deletion cannot be undone. Take your data out first - the GST returns, registers and ledgers can all be exported from the software - because once the shop's database is removed we cannot produce a bill or a return from it again, for you or for anyone.
